eBooks @ Newcastle Region Library

eBooks are becoming more and more popular every day - they are free for library members to borrow and are easy to find on our website.

You will need the following to get started:

• Library membership at a Newcastle Region Library Branch (including Port Stephens, Gloucester and Dungog)
• Know your PIN (try 1234 or contact library staff) 
• An email account
• An Adobe account

If you are using an eReader you will also need:

• A PC or laptop
• Adobe Digital Editions software (available for free on the Adobe website).
• Access to the Internet
• An eReader compatible with Adobe Digital Editions (not a Kindle or Windows Surface)

If you want to use a tablet or smartphone you will also need:

• Apple ID & password OR Google Play password
• Access to the Internet
• Bluefire Reader app (this app will accept downloads from our main collections)
• BorrowBox app (to borrow from the Bolinda Digital collection)
• AxisReader app & Axis360 app (to borrow from the Baker & Taylor Axis 360 collection)
