Sounds interesting. You should try "The Ninth Life of Louis Drax" by Liz Jensen. It has LOTS of family secrets, is most contemporary and lives fall apart quite spectactularly.
I've just started reading this and I am really enjoying it. I think I'll recommend it as a Book Club title. Thanks for telling us about it Louise.
